Hiling ng DOLE na bakuna para sa construction, factory workers inaprubahan
Inaprubahan ng National Task Force Against COVID-19 ang kahilingan ng Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) na karagdagang bakuna para sa mga nagtatrabaho sa manufacturing and construction industries.
Pinuri ni Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III ang naturang hakbang na magpapabilis sa muling pagbubukas ng ekonomiya at pagbibigay ng proteksyon sa mga naturang industriya.
“I sincerely thank vaccine czar Secretary Carlito Galvez for his positive and immediate response on our urgent request,” ani Bello.
Sinabi ng kalihim na kabuuang 452,000 doses ang ilalaan sa factory workers sa Regions 4A, 3 at 7 at construction workers sa National Capital Region (NCR).
Batid ni Bello ang mga problema sa suplay ng bakuna ngunit kailangan aniyang maglaan ng bakuna para sa mga trabahador na aktibong tumutulong para sa ekonomiya ng bansa.
“We believe doing this would speed up economic recovery,“ pahayag nito.
Dagdag nito, “This is particularly true to the manufacturing and construction sectors that contributed much to that growth.”
