Pamamahagi ng ayuda sa NCR, pinalawig hanggang Aug. 31
Pinalawig ng Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) ang deadline para sa pamamahagi ng ayuda sa Metro Manila hanggang August 31, 2020.
“Upon the request of the LGUs and with the concurrence of Secretary Bautista and Secretary Lorenzana, we have decided to give the LGUs in the National Capital Region (NCR) until the end of the month to complete the distribution of ayuda,” pahayag ni DILG Secretary Eduardo Año.
Umapela aniya ang ilang LGU sa Metro Manila ng dagdag na palugit sa pagkumpleto ng payout dahil sa limitadong manpower bunsod ng tumataas na kaso ng COVID-19.
“The mayors also need more time to process appeals and grievances so it is justified for us to give an extension,” he said.
Binati ng kalihim ang Caloocan City government, sa pangunguna ni Mayor Oscar Malapitan, makaraang makumpleto ang distribusyon ng cash aid sa kanilang nasasakupan bago ang itinakdang deadline.
Binati rin ni Año ang iba pang LGU sa NCR dahil umabot na sa 80.96 porsyento o P9.1 bilyon sa P11.2 bilyong halaga ng ayuda ang naipamahagi na sa mga beneficiary hanggang August 24, 2021.
“This means that for every 10 low-income individuals, 8 have already received their ayuda. This is the fastest distribution we’ve had in NCR since the start of the pandemic and we did this with people complying with minimum health standards,” ani Año.
Mula August 11 hanggang 24, 2021 nasa kabuuang 9,101,999 mahihirap na indibiduwal ang nakatanggap na ng kanilang ayuda sa NCR.
Unang binigyan ang mga LGU ng 15 araw upang makumpleto ang payout. Nagsimula ang distribusyon noong August 11 at matatapos dapat sa August 25.
Tiniyak naman ng DILG Secretary sa publiko na sisiguraduhin nila ang kaligtasan at seguridad ng mga sangkot sa pamamahagi ng ayuda at pagsunod sa minimum public health standards, katuwang ang Philippine National Police (PNP).
