COVID-19 vaccine “mix-match trial’ trial magsisimula sa susunod na buwan

Inanunsiyo ng Department of Science and Technology (DOST) na ang pag-aaral sa kaligtasan at pagiging epektibo ng paghahalo ng limang COVID-19 vaccines ay maaring magsimula sa susunod na buwan.

Ayon kay Undersecretary  Rowena Cristina Guevarra, ng Research and Development, 3,000 indibiduwal na may edad 18 pataas ang maaring maging bahagi ng ‘mix and match trials.’

Ang mga ito aniya mula sa A1 hanggang A4 Priority Groups at malamang ay mga residente ng Metro Manila.

Isasagawa ang pag-aaral ng Philippine Society for Allergy, Asthma and Immunology na pamumunuan ni Dr. Michelle de Vera.

Layon nito na mapag-aralan kung ligtas at mabisa pa rin ang pagtuturok ng magkaibang brand ng COVID-19 vaccines.

Nabatid na tatagal ng 18 buwan ang pag-aaral at gagamitin ang Sinovac, Sputnik V, AstraZeneca, Pfizer at Moderna COVID-19 vaccines.
