Quarantine status ng Metro Manila ipinasakamay sa IATF
Itinuro ng Metro Manila Council (MMC) ang Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) sa pagdedesisyon sa magiging quarantine status ng National Capital Region simula sa Sabado, Agosto 21.
Sinabi ni MMDA Chairman Benhur Abalos na binalanse ng 17 mayors ang mga isyu ukol sa kalusugan at ekonomiya.
“The LGUs are at the forefront and they know what is really happening on the ground but we have to weigh both economic and health factors in our decision. We deem it best to leave the decision to the wisdom and judgement of the IATF,” sabi pa ni Abalos.
Pagtitiyak pa nito, anuman ang maging desisyon ng IATF ay patuloy na ipapatupad ng mga lokal na pamahalaan sa Kalakhang Maynila ang Prevent-Detect-Isolate-Treat-Reintegrate policy para mapigilan pa ang pagkalat ng COVID 19.
Dagdag pa ni Abalos paiigtingin pa din ng mga alkalde ang kani-kanilang vaccination rollout, testing at contact tracing.
Nabanggit din nito, na ang pagpapatupad ng ECQ ngayon ay maituturing na iba sa naunang pag-iral ng ECQ sa Metro Manila dahil nasimulan na ang pagpababakuna sa mga mamamayan.
