“This is to let the public know that Labor Secretary Silvestre H. Bello III has tested positive for COVID-19, but is asymptomatic and remains on top of his health,” pahayag ng DOLE.
Nakasailalim ang kalihim sa self-quarantine sa Ilagan kung saan isinagawa ang swab test noong Sabado.
Kahit naka-isolate, tiniyak ng kagawaran na magpapatuloy pa rin si Bello sa kaniyang tungkulin.
“Prior to contracting the virus, the Secretary has been receiving officials and guests at his office, and traveled to various parts of the country distributing assistance to displaced and disadvantaged formal and informal sector workers affected by the pandemic,” pahayag pa ng kagawaran.
Nagpasalamat naman si Bello sa publiko para sa pag-aalay ng panalangin.
Nagpaalala rin ang kalihim sa publiko na laging sundin ang minimum health protocols upang maiwasan ang pagkalat ng COVID-19.
