Inaprubahan na ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duteete ang rekomendasyon ng Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) na luwagan ang quarantine restrictions sa Laguna, Iloilo City at Cagayan de Oro City.
Mula sa Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) isasailalim na sa Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) ang tatlong nabanggit na lugar mula August 16 hanggang 31, 2021.
Ayon kay Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque, mananatili naman ang ECQ sa National Capital Region hanggang August 20, 2021.
Nasa ECQ rin ang Bataan hanggang August 22, 2021.
Samantala, nasa MECQ mula August 16 hanggang 31, 2021 ang Apayao; Ilocos Norte; Bulacan; Cavite, Lucena City, at Rizal sa Region 4-A; Aklan, at Iloilo Province sa Region 6, at Lapu-Lapu City, Mandaue City, at Cebu City sa Region 7.
Nasa GCQ with heightened restrictions mula August 16 hanggang 31, 2021 ang Ilocos Sur; Cagayan; Quezon at Batangas sa Region 4-A at Naga City, Antique, Bacolod City at Capiz sa Region 6; at Negros Oriental at Cebu sa Visayas; Zamboanga del Sur; Misamis Oriental; Davao City, Davao del Norte, Davao Occidental at Davao de Oro sa Region 11 at Butuan City sa Mindanao.
