Ombudsman patatapusin muna ang pagbusisi ng COA sa COVID 19 fund ng DOH

Hihintayin muna ng Office of the Ombudsman na matapos ang ginagawang pagbusisi ng Commission on Audit (COA) sa paggasta ng Department of Health (DOH) ng pondo para sa pagtugon sa COVID 19m pandemic.

 

Sinabi ni Ombudsman Samuel Martires base sa kumpletong ulat ng COA ay malalaman nila kung kinakailangan nilang magsagawa ng imbestigasyon.

 

“It must be noted that the AAR contains several Audit Observation Memorandum reports, and at this stage of the proceedings, the Office of the Ombudsman will await the completion of the auditing process as the agency is given the opportunity to ensure full implementation of all audit recommendations to improve the financial and operational efficiency of the DOH,” sabi ni Martires.

 

Aniya ang pinal na mga rekomendasyon at obserbasyon ng auditors ay maari din talakayin sa commission en banc.

 

Ang posisyon na ito ni Martires ay tulad ng pahayag ni Justice Sec. Menardo Guevarra, co-chairman ng Inter-Agency Task Force Against Corruption.

 

Sinabi ni Guevarra na papasok lang ang task force kapag nabigo ang DOH na ipaliwanag ang obserbasyon ng COA.

 

Unang pinuna ng COA ang kakulangan ng mga dokumento at maaring paglabag sa Government Procurement Reform Act sa paggasta ng higit P5 bilyon ng DOH, gayundin ang kawalan ng dokumento ng P1.4 bilyong halaga ng mga donasyon.
