Bagong health facility sa Lung Center, nai-turnover na

Pinangunahan ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) ang ceremonial turnover ng karagdagang health care facilities sa Lung Center of the Philippines sa Quezon City, araw ng Miyerkules (August 11).

Ayon kay Public Works and Highways Secretary at Chief Isolation Czar Mark Villar, makatutulong ang dagdag na 108 beds upang ma-accommodate ang tumataas na bilang ng pasyente nasa severe hanggang critical stage dahil sa COVID-19.

“We have completed works on five (5) cluster units including one (1) unit with 20 beds particularly as Intensive Care Units (ICU) with oxygen, suction, and vacuum system dedicated for patients who require high levels of medical care and complex treatment,” pahayag ng kalihim.

Inasistihan ni Undersecretary Emil Sadain si Villar sa pag-abot ng symbolic key ng limang modular hospitals kay Health Secretary Francisco Duque III, kasama sina Undersecretary Leopoldo Vega, Assistant Secretary Elmer Punzalan, at Lung Center Executive Director Vincent Balanag Jr.

Naitayo ang bagong pasilidad sa ilalim ng project planning at construction supervision ng DPWH Task Force to Facilitate Augmentation of Health Facilities sa pamumuno ni Sadain.

Magpapatuloy naman ang DPWH Task Force sa pagpapadala ng tulong sa DOH at IATF upang magkaroon ng mahusay na health service sa lahat ng Pilipino.
