P78-M halaga ng smuggled na sigarilyo, nasamsam ng BOC sa Subic
Nasabat ng Bureau of Customs Port of Subic ang P78 milyong halaga ng smuggled na sigarlyo sa dalawang container, araw ng Lunes (August 2).
Naglabas ng Pre-Lodgment Control Orders sa dalawang container noong July 13, 2021.
Naka-consign ang shipment sa Mysticflare Import and Export Co. at unang idineklara na naglalaman ang shipment ng Laminating Film.
Matapos ang physical examination, nadiskubre ang mga sigarilyo na may tatak na Kings, Two Moon Premium Filter Kings, D&B Light, D&B American Blend, Mighty Menthol, Mighty Full Flavor, at Two Moon National Blue Star.
Naglabas na ng Warrants of Seizure and Detention laban sa shipment dahil sa paglabag sa National Tobacco Administration (NTA) Memorandum Circular No. 03, series of 2004; NTA Board Resolution No. 079-2005; Section 155 ng Republic Act 8293 (Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines na may kinalaman sa Section 1113 (f) ng Republic Act No. 10863 o Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (CMTA).
“The Port of Subic will remain committed in securing the country’s borders against smuggled and illegal goods,” pahayag ni District Collector Maritess Martin.
