Extension ng voter’s registration hindi pa napapag-usapan ng Comelec en banc
Hindi pa natalakay ng Comelec en banc ang posibilidad na magkaroon ng extension ang voter’s registration kasabay nang pag-iral muli ng enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) sa Metro Manila.
Ito ang sinabi ni Dir. James Jimenez, ang tagapagsalita ng Comelec.
“The Commission en banc has not discussed the possibility of extension of the voter’s registration period,” sabi ni Jimenez, na una nang inihayag na magpapatuloy ang pagpaparehistro hanggang sa Huwebes, Agosto 5.
Sa Setyembre 30 nakatakdang magwakas ang pagpapa-rehistro ng mga bagong botante.
May mga panawagan na palawigin ang voter’s registration dahil dalawang linggo na mahihinto ito dahil sa pag-iral muli ng ECQ.
Katuwiran ng mga nanawagan ng extension, marami ang maapektuhan ng suspensyon at maaring makaapekto ito sa magaganap na botohan sa susunod na taon.
