Higit 645,000 OFWs, nakauwi na sa mga lalawigan – DOTr
Umabot na sa 645,265 na overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) ang naasistihan sa ilalim ng ‘Hatid-Tulong’ Program.
Ayon sa Department of Transportation (DOTr), naitala ang nasabing bilang ng mga napauwing OFW hanggang July 22, 2021.
Sa nasabing bilang, 195,767 ay naihatid sa pamamagitan ng land transport at 339,048 naman ang air transport simula May 25, 2020 hanggang July 22, 2021.
Samantala, 110,450 OFWs namam ang nakauwi naman via sea transport mula April 27, 2020 hanggang July 22.
Pinangunahan ng DOTr ang naturang programa katuwang ang Office of the President, National Task Force Covid-19, Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Department of Tourism (DOT), Philippine Ports Authority (PPA), Office for Transportation Security (OTS), Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA), Land Transportation Office (LTO), at Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB).
