P5.2-M halaga ng shabu nadiskubre sa birdhouse, shuttlecock casing
Nasamsam ng Bureau of Customs (BOC) Port of NAIA, katuwang ang Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) at NAIA Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Group (NAIA-IADIGT), ang tatlong package na naglalaman ng P5,188,400 halaga ng shabu.
Ayon sa BOC, balak sanang i-export ang tatlong package sa Bahrain, United Kingdom at Australia.
Matapos ang routine Customs X-ray scanning at physical examination, nadiskubre ang 763 gramo ng ilegal na droga na nakasilid sa birdhouse, shuttlecock casing, at figure trimmer twister twist.
Base sa PDEA Chemical Laboratory Analysis Report, kumpirmadong shabu ang laman ang naturang package.
Agad itinurn-over ang kontrabando sa PDEA para sa profiling, case building at direct filing ng kaso laban sa responsable dahil sa paglabag sa Republic Act 9165 o “Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002″ at Republic Act 10863 o “Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (CMTA) of 2016”.
Maliban sa kaso, magsasagawa ron ng seizure at forfeiture proceedings sa packages bunsod ng paglabag sa Paragraph (f) ng Section 1113 na may kinalaman sa Paragraph (d) Section 119 ng CMTA.
Nangako naman ang BOC-NAIA na sa tulong ng aktibong kolaborasyon sa PDEA at NAIA-IADITG, ipagpapatuloy nila ang kampanya laban sa ilegal na droga.
