Higit 20 milyon na ang nagparehistro para sa National ID – PSA
Higit 20.7 milyong Filipino na ang nagparehistro para sa Philippine Identification System.
Ito ay hanggang noong Hulyo 23, ayon sa Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).
Sinabi ni PSA Administrator Dennis Mapa nangangahulugan ito na ‘on target’ sila na ngayon taon ay 50 milyon hanggang 70 milyon ang mairerehistro sa PhilSys.
“Given this pace, we are confident that by the end of the year, this target will be met. Despite the limitations brought by the pandemic, we are thankful for the unwavering support of Filipinos to PhilSys and their continued excitement to register,” sabi ni Mapa.
Sa ngayon ang online Step 1 ay maaring gawin sa 14 na lungsod sa Metro Manila at 377 lungsod at munisapalidad sa 31 lalawigan sa bansa.
Ayon kay Mapa magdadagdag pa sila ng mga registration centers kasabay nang paglalawak ng kanilang operasyon para mas marami pang Filipino ang makapagpa-rehistro.
Ang mga nakakumpleto na sa kanilang pagpaparehistro ay padadalhan sa kanilang tirahan ng sulat na naglalaman ng kanilang PhilSys number, gayundin ng kanilang national ID.
