Matapos idawit sa ‘Oust Duterte matrix,’ Malakanyang, Panelo pinuri si Hidilyn Diaz
Noong 2019, isinama ng Malakanyang sa pamamagitan noon ni Presidential spokesman at ngayon ay Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Salvador Panelo si Filipina weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz sa mga nais diumano na pabagsakin ang administrasyong-Duterte.
Nagulat at natawa na lang noon si Diaz sa pagkakasangkot sa kanya sa katuwiran na sobrang busy siya sa kanyang training at wala siyang panahon sa iba pang mga bagay.
Kagabi nang masungkit ni Diaz ang kauna-unahang Olympic gold medal para sa Pilipinas, kabilang sa mga unang nagpahatid ng mensahe ng pagbati ay si Panelo.
Sinabi ni Panelo na ikinararangal niya ang tagumpay ni Diaz.
“Her feat makes us Filipino proud. Her getting the gold is a testament to the Filipino race’s talent and indefatigable spirit,” ang mensahe ni Panelo.
Dagdag pa nito, magsisilbing inspirasyon si Diaz sa mga atletang Filipino.
Kasabay nito, nagpalabas na rin ang Malakanyang ng mensahe ng pagbati kay Diaz.
“The Palace congratulates Hidilyn Diaz for bringing pride and glory to the Philippines for winning the country’s first ever Olympic gold medal,” sabi ni Presidential spokesman Harry Roque.
Dagdag pa ni Roque; “ congratulations Hidilyn. The entire Filipino nation is proud of you. Laban, Pilipinas!”
