Ayon kay Senate President Tito Sotto, tatakbong senador si Binay sa ilalim ng kanilang tambalan ni Senador Panfilo Lacson.
Tatakbong pangulo ng bansa si Lacson habang tatakbong bise presidente si Sotto sa 2022 national elections.
Sa litrato na ibinahagi ni Sotto, makikita na kasama nil ani Lacson sa pulong si Binay.
Si Binay ang tumatayong pangulo ng United Nationalist Alliance (UNA).
Sa ngayon, pasok sa senatorial line up ng Lacson-Sotto tandem sina dating Senador JV Ejercito, dating Senador at ngayon ay Sorsogon Governor Francis “Chiz” Escudero, Senador Sherwin Gatchalian, Senador Senator Richard Gordon, dating Senador Gringo Honasan, dating Comelec Commissioner Gregorio “Goyo” Larrazabal, dating Senador Loren Legarda, Leyte Rep.
