Imbestigasyon sa $81-M cyberheist, pansamantalang sinuspinde

deguito-wong-bautista-galPansamantalang sinuspinde ng Senate blue ribbon committee ang kanilang pagdinig sa nanakaw na $81 million mula sa Bangladesh Central Bank na sinasabing sumailalim sa money laundering scheme dito sa bansa.

Ayon kay committee chair Sen. Teofisto Guingona III, gaganapin na lang ang susunod na hearing sa May 12, pagkatapos ng halalan.

Kinailangan ding iurong ang susunod na pagdinig dahil bigo ang mga abogado nina casino junket operator Kim Wong, dating RCBC branch manager Maia Deguito, pati na rin ng mga may-ari ng Philrem Service Corp. na sina Salud at Michael Bautista na magpasa ng kanilang waiver na magpapahintulot sa pagbubuklat ng kanilang phone records.

Sa May 12 rin inaasahan ni Guingona na ipi-prisinta ng mga Bautista ang kanilang dating accountant na una nang nag-resign.
