Pagtatapon ng China ng dumi ng tao sa WPS pinaiimbestigahan ng Makabayan Bloc
Gusto ng Makabayan bloc sa Kamara na magkaroon ng imbestigasyon sa diumanoy pagtatapon ng Chinese vessels ng mga dumi sa ilang bahagi ng West Philippine Sea.
Inihain ng mga mga mambabatas ang House Resolution No. 1961 para sa nais nilang imbestigasyon ng kinauukulang komite.
“The constant dumping of human waste and sewage of vessels seriously destroys the reefs and marine life in the West Philippine Sea. This could lead to a decrease in food supply and could eventually result in a hunger crisis for the entire world since the West Philippine Sea became the source of food for migratory fish,” katuwiran ng mga mambabatas sa kanilang resolusyon.
Diin pa nila ang mga ginagawa ng Chinese vessels ay patunay lang ng kawalan ng respeto sa soberenya ng Pilipinas, gayundin sa pagkakapanalo ng bansa sa Permanent Court of Arbitration sa agawan ng bahagi ng West Philippine Sea.
