All-Female Rescue Divers Course ng PCG, sinimulan na
Sinimulan na ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Special Operations Force (SOF) ang All-Female Rescue Divers Course Class 04 – 2021 sa Coast Guard Base Farola, araw ng Martes (July 13).
Kasama sa pagsasanay ang limang commissioned officers at pitong enlisted personnel.
Nagsisilbi naman bilang Course Director ng FRDC Class 04 – 2021 si CG Lieutenant Commander Nenette Ellyn Nemeño, ang unang babaeng PCG officer na naging diver.
Layon nitong masanay ang mga trainee sa underwater search and rescue operations at basic tactical procedures.
Nahahati sa dalawang phase ang apat hanggang anim na buwang kurso: Motivation Phase at Self Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus (SCUBA) Phase.
“Laging niyong baunin ang apat na letra; ang salitang, ‘TIIS’ — ‘yan ang magpapa-survive sa inyo sa training, and of course huwag kalimutang magdasal, para may gumabay sa inyong journey,” pahayag ni Coast Guard Commodore (CG COMMO) Edgardo Hernando.
