PNP, titiyaking naipapadala ang mga kagamitan sa Police Regional Offices
Nagbaba na ng direktiba si Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief, Police General Guillermo Eleazar na tignan ang nakitang discrepancy ng Commission on Audit (COA) sa records ng pagpapadala ng kagamitan at body armor vests sa police regional offices.
Siniguro ng hepe ng pambansang pulisya sa COA na tinitignan na ng accounting division, Directorate for Comptrollership, at Directorate for Logistics ang kanilang records para makapagsagawa ng kinakailangang adjustment, maitama ang sinasabing discrepancy at matiyak na naipapadala ang lahat ng kagamitan sa police regional offices.
“I already directed the concerned police offices to check why the records of the National Headquarters and the Police Regional Offices do not match,” pahayag ni Eleazar at aniya pa, “They should reconcile the records and correct the discrepancies to avoid possible issues in the deployment of weapons and other equipment to the Police Regional Offices.”
Nananatili aniyang transparent ang kanilang hanay.
“I assure the COA that we will address and correct this. Gusto din natin tiyakin na ang lahat ng mga gamit na nakalaan para sa ating mga Police Regional Offices ay nakararating at accounted,” saad ni Eleazar.
Naunang sinabi ng COA na kulang sa records na magpapakita na nai-turnover ang mga armas at body armor vests sa Police Regional Offices sa buong bansa.
Nakasaad sa 2020 report ng COA na hindi tugma sa books of accounts ng 11 Police Regional Offices ang bilang ng kagamitan, kabilang ang 9mm pistols, basic assault rifles, enhanced combat helmets, at tactical vests, na sinasabing naipadala na base sa records ng PNP NHQ.
Kabilang sa nasabing Police Regional Offices ang nasa Ilocos region, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol region, Western Visayas, Central Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Cordillera Administrative Region, at Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
