Natapos na ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) ang dalawang bagong shore protection works sa northernmost coastal areas ng Agoo, La Union.
“We have constructed shoreline structures or groins along Barangays Sta. Rita Sur and Sta. Rita Central to serve as protection against coastal flooding,” pahayag ni DPWH Secretary Mark Villar.
“We are confident that with protective infrastructure like this, residents and even tourists can be safe in the booming surfing spot of La Union,” saad ni Villar.
