Pinalawak na Angat Bridge ng Arterial Plaridel Bypass Road sa Bulacan, bukas na sa mga motorista

Maari nang daanan ng mga motorista ang pinalawak na 2.22-kilometer section ng Arterial Plaridel Bypass Road, kasama ang isa sa pinakamahabang tulay sa Angat River, sa Bustos, Bulacan.

Ayon kay Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Mark Villar, mapapapgbuti ng dalawang bagong lane ang transport capacity ng bypass road dahil sa pagdami ng bilang ng motorista na pwedeng dumaan patungo sa Silangang bahagi ng Bulacan at Nueva Ecija.

Ang ginawang pagpapalawak ay parte ng Arterial Road Bypass Project-Phase 3 na pinondohan sa ilalim ng loan agreement sa pagitan ng gobyerno ng Pilipinas at Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

Nagsagawa ng final inspections sina DPWH Undersecretary Emil Sadain bilang representante ni Villar at mga opisyal ng Embassy of Japan in the Philippines sa pamumuno ni Economic Affairs Minister Masahiro Nakata na nagrerepresenta kay Ambassador Kazuhiko Koshikawa, JICA Philippines Chief Representative Eigo Azukizawa, at JICA Senior Representative Kenji Kuronuma.

Sinabi ni Sadain na kasama sa widened section ang 1.12-kilometer Angat Bridge, 40.86-meter Tambubong Bridge at 1.06-kilometer road section na kabilang sa Contract Package 3 ng Arterial Road Bypass Project Phase 3. Sakop ito ng pagpapalawak sa bagong 24.61-kilometer stretch ng Plaridel Bypass Road mula Balagtas sa bahagi ng North Luzon Expressway hanggang San Rafael, Bulacan.

Sa ngayon, patuloy ang capacity improvement works sa iba pang contract packages.
