Humingi na ng paumanhin ang World Bank matapos ilabas ang ulat na kulelat ang mga estudyante sa Pilipinas pagdating sa Math, Science at English.
Ayon sa pahayag ng World Bank, maagang nailathala ang ulat taliwas sa nakatakdang schedule.
Una rito, sinabi ni Education Secretary Leonor Briones na dapat na mag-sorry ang World Bank dahil hindi man lang kinunsulta ang kanilang hanay.
Ayon kay Briones, nainsulto at napahiya ang DepEd.
“We deeply regret that the report on education was inadvertently published earlier than scheduled and before the Department of Education had enough chance to provide inputs,” pahayag ng World Bank.
“This was an oversight on our part, and we conveyed our personal apologies in our communication with the government. Recognizing the inadvertent release of the report, we have taken steps to temporarily remove it from the website,” dagdag na pahayag ng World Bank.
Ayon sa World Bank nakipag-ugnayan na sila kay Briones para sa mas maayos na ugnayan.
“We are aware of the Department’s various efforts and programs to address the challenge of education quality,” pahayag ng World Bank.
