Pagkakaabswelto ni Revilla, walang epekto sa anti-corruption drive ni Pangulong Duterte – Palasyo
Ganyan ang sistema ng katarungan sa Pilipinas.
Ito ang naging pahayag ng Palasyo ng Malakanyang matapos absweltuhin ng Sandiganbayan si Senador Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. ang lahat ng 16 counts ng kasong graft na may kaugnayan sa pork barrel scam.
Ayon kay Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque, nabigo kaso ang prosekusyon na patunayang ‘guilty beyond reasonable doubt’ si Revilla.
“Well, he was accorded his day in court and the prosecution failed to prove his guilt beyond reasonable doubt. Ganiyan po talaga ang sistema ng katarungan natin sa Pilipinas, ang mga akusado po ay presumed innocent until proven otherwise,” pahayag ni Roque.
Tiniyak naman ni Roque na walang epekto sa anti-corruption drive ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang pagkakaabswelto ni Revilla.
“Wala naman pong epekto diyan dahil patuloy po ang patuligsa ng ating Presidente, pag..ng ating Presidente sa mga kurakot sa gobyerno and the President has repeatedly said na dito sa natitirang isang taon sa kaniyang termino, igugugol niya ito para labanan ang korapsyon,” pahayag ni Roque.
Matatandaang idinadawit si Revilla sa P10 bilyong anomalya sa Priority Development Assistance Fund o pork barrel scam kung saan ibinuhos ang pondo sa mga bogus na non-government organization ni Janet Lim-Napoles.
