P92-M halaga ng smuggled na sigarilyo, nasamsam ng BOC
Nasabat ng Bureau of Customs Port of Subic, sa pamamagitan ng Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service (CIIS), ang dalawang shipment ng smuggled na sigarilyo na tinatayang nagkakahalaga ng P93 milyon noong June 24, 2021.
Sa inilabas na Pre-lodgment Control Order (PLCO), isinailalim sa eksaminasyon ang mga kargamento na hinihinalang naka-consign sa isang Goldlink enterprises.
Nagmula ang kargamento sa China.
Nadiskubre sa eksaminasyon ang 2,050 master cases ng sigarilyo na may tatak na Fortune at Mighty.
Pinaniniwalaang smuggled ang mga sigarilyo dahil sa pekeng tax seals.
Inilabas ang Warrant of Seizure and Detention (WSD) ng District Collector’s Office laban sa shipment.
Nagsasagawa naman ng mas malalim na imbestigasyon para sa posibleng pagsasampa ng kasong paglabag sa Section 1113 na may kinalaman sa Section 1400 ng Republic Act 10863 o Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (CMTA).
