Mga kamag-anak ng mga biktima ng war on drugs ni Pangulong Duterte pinagsusumite na ng salaysay

Sinimulan na ng International Criminal Court na ipatawag ang umanoý kamag-anak ng mga biktima ng anti-drug war campaign ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.

Base sa post sa website ng ICC, nais nitong marinig ang mga pananaw o views, concerns, at expectations ng mga biktima sa gagawing imbestigasyon na crimes against humanity na isinampa sa Pangulo.

“Victims of the alleged crimes have the right to submit ‘representations’ as per the ICC legal framework. This means that victims may provide their views, concerns and expectations regarding the Prosecutor’s request to the ICC Judges for their consideration,” pahayag ng ICC.

Gagamitin ng ICC ang mga pahayag ng mga biktima sa judicial proceedings.

Naghanda na rin ang ICC ng Victims Participation and Reparations Section (VPRS) of the Registry, kung saan maaring isumite ang kanilang online application.

Nakatakda ang deadline ng submission sa ICC sa August 13.

Una nang sinabi ng Malakanyang na walang hurisdiksyon ang ICC na imbestisgahan ang Pangulo dahil kumalas na ang Pilipinas sa Rome Statute na nagtatag sa ICC.

Bukod dito, iginiit ng Malakanyang na gumagana ang mga korte sa bansa.
