Halos P1.3 bilyong halaga ng ibat-ibang droga winasak ng PDEA
Sa pamamagitan ng thermal decomposition o thermolysis winasak ng Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) ang ibat-ibang uri ng droga na nakumpiska sa mga ikinasang operasyon ng ibat-ibang ahensiya ng gobyerno.
Sinabi ni PDEA Dir. Gen. Wilkins Villanueva aabot sa higot P1.295 bilyon halaga ng shabu, marijuana, cocaine, ecstacy, toluene, opium, ephedrine, ketamine at maging mga expired na gamot ang kanilang winasak sa isang pasilidad sa Trece Martires City sa Cavite.
Sa kabuuang halaga, higit P900 milyon ay halaga ng shabu.
Sinaksihan naman ni Cavite Gov. Jonvic Remulla ang pagsira sa mga droga at siya na rin ang nagsilbing panauhing pandangal, gayundin ng ilang opisyal ng PNP, DOJ, DILG at maging NGOs.
“We want to assure the public that all seized illegal drugs under the custody of PDEA will all be destroyed, thus allaying fears of recycling,” diin ni Villanueva.
Aniya ito ay alinsunod na rin sa direktiba ni Pangulong Duterte na dapat ay agad wasakin ang mga nakukumpiskang droga.
