Inaprubahan ng Civil Service Commission (CSC) ang provisional appointments ng 1,700 senior high school teachers.
Sinabi ni Education Usec. Jesus Mateo matatapos sana sa darating na Hulyo ang appointment ng mga guro, na kinuha noong 2016.
“The Department is grateful to the Commission for considering and granting the appeal of DepEd to renew and extend the provisional appointments of these SHS teachers. This will further ensure unhampered delivery of learning and continuous teaching services of our SHS provisional teachers to our learners,” sabi naman ni Education Sec. Leonor Briones.
Noong Pebrero ay nakiusap na ang kagawaran sa CSC na palawigin ang appointment ng mga nabanggit na guro alinsunod sa RA 10533 o ang Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013.
Sa pagsisimula ng senior high school sa bansa noong 2016, kumuha ang DepEd ng graduates ng mga kursong Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Music at iba pang degree courses para magturo ng specialized subjects.
Ang appointment ng 1,700 guro ay may bisa ng isa pang taon.
