Overseas deployment ceiling ng mga healthcare workers tinaasan pa

Mula sa 5,000, tinaasan pa ng pamahalaan ng Pilipinas ang annual deployment ceiling ng mga bagong hired healthcare workers na maaring ipadala sa ibang bansa.

Ayon kay Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque, base sa naging desisyon ng Inter-Agency Task Force, gagawin nang 6,500 ang deployment ceiling kada taon.

“The Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) on Thursday, June 17, 2021, increased the annual deployment ceiling of new hire healthcare workers (HCWs) for Mission Critical Skills (MCS) to 6,500,” pahayag ni Roque.

Ayon kay Roque, papayagan lamang na makaalis ang mga healthcare workers na mayroong kontrata as of May 31.

Hindi naman sakop sa bagong kautusan ang mga healthcare workers na mayroong government-to-government labor agreements.

Matatandaan na noong January 1, 2021, nagpatupad ng limitasyon ang Pilipinas sa deployment ng mga healthcare workers.

Nais kasi masiguro muna ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na magkaroon ng sapat na bilang ng mga healthcare workers ang bansa para matugunan ang pandemya sa COVID-19.
