Nilinaw ng Palasyo ng Malakanyang na patuloy na iiral ang polisiya sa pagsusuot ng face shield bilang dagdag proteksyon kontra COVID-19.
Pahayag ito ng Palasyo kahit ipinag-utos na ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na tanging sa mga ospital na lamang gagamitin ang face shield at hindi sa mga pampublikong lugar.
Ayon kay Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque, inirekomenda kasi ng Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) kay Pangulong Duterte na maging mandatory ang pagsusuot ng face shield sa mga enclosed / indoor spaces ng hospitals, eskwelahan, workplaces, commercial establishments gaya ng malls at public markets, public transport at terminals, at mga lugar ng pagsamba.
Sinabi pa ni Roque na habang hinihintay pa ang pinal na desisyon ng Pangulo, mananatili ang polisiya ng pagsusuot ng face shield.
Kahapon ng umaga lamang, sinabi Roque sa kanyang regular presidential briefing na ipinag-utos na ni Pangulong Duterte ang hindi pagsusuot ng face shield maliban na lamang sa ospital.
Pero kagabi, bigla itong binawi at sinabing patuloy na iiral ang mandatory na pagsusuot ng face shield.
“While waiting for the President’s decision on the matter, the existing policy on the use of face shields remains in effect,” pahayag ni Roque.
