Higit sa anti-Duterte platforms ang kailangan ng united opposition sa 2022 elections – Drilon
Mas mahalaga na makapag-alok ng mas mabuting pamamaraan sa pagharap sa COVID 19 pandemic ang oposisyon sa halip na maglitanya lang sa mga kinonkontrang polisiya ng administrasyong-Duterte.
Ito ang sinabi ni Senate Minority Leader Frank Drilon para sa eleksyon sa susunod na taon.
“For one, the opposition must go beyond an anti-Duterte platform. The opposition must present a platform that says that we can do better. We can do better in the pandemic response, because these were the errors committed and these are what we are going to do. We’re faced with a very difficult problem, our economy is in shambles and this is how we intend to revive the economy,” sabi ni Drilon sa isang panayam sa telebisyon.
Iginiit naman niya na ang Liberal Party ay buo ang magiging suporta kay Vice President Leni Robredo kung nanaisin nitong sumabak sa presidential race sa susunod na taon.
“Let me make it very, very clear that all the Liberal Party members would rally behind Vice President Leni Robredo should she run for presidency which is a personal decision. Now, if she does not run for presidency, then the Liberal Party would have to meet and see where we will go from there,” sabi pa nito.
Bukas din aniya ang kanilang partido na makipag-alyansa sakaling mag-desisyon si Robredo na hindi sumali sa presidential race.
Tama din aniya na isang kandidato lang ang susuportahan ng oposisyon, na layon ng 1Sambayanan.
