Maglulunsad ang Commission on Elections (Comelec) ng mobile registration app para sa proseso ng voter registration.
Maaring ma-access ang mobile app gamit ang smartphone kahit naka-offline.
Ayon kay Comelec Commissioner Marlon Casquejo, unang ilulunsad ang Mobile Registration Form App sa Tagum City, Davao del Norte.
“The launch of the mobile app is very timely in the face of mobility restrictions brought about by COVID-19, because you will only need a smartphone to accomplish the form,” pahayag ni Casquejo.
Makakatulong aniya ito upang makatipid sa igugugol na oras, effort at pera sa computer shop para i-download at i-print ang naturang form, o personal na kumuha ng form sa lokal na opisina ng Comelec.
Dagdag pa nito, “A QR Code is generated upon successful accomplishment of the form. You must save the QR Code on your smartphone, and afterwards, you may visit your local Comelec office to have your QR Code scanned and your biometrics taken.”

Pwede rin itong i-share kahit offline ang smartphone sa pamamagitan ng SHAREit o iba pang file-sharing application.
Oras na ma-install, maari nang mag-apply sa voter registration kahit hindi konektado sa internet.
Sa pagsisimula ng Hunyo, ikinasa na ang mobile app sa ilang pilot areas.
Sa ngayon, ginagamit na ang mobile app sa humigit-kumulang 500 lungsod at munisipalidad, kabilang ang National Capital Region, Cebu City at Davao City.
