Pagsuspinde sa mga bayarin sa CAB at CAAP hiniling ng samahan ng mga airline companies

Hinimok ng Air Carriers Association of the Philippines (ACAP) na huwag munang pagbayarin ang mga major airline companies ng fees sa Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB) at Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP).

Ginawa ang panawagan sa gitna na rin ng pagtalakay sa Air Carriers Relief Act na inihain ni AAMBIS-OWA Party-list Rep. Sharon Garin.

Paliwanag ni ACAP Chairman Atty. Bobby Lim, papalo na sa halos P60 billion ang nawalang kita sa mga airline companies hanggang noong December 2020 bunsod ng COVID-19 pandemic.

Aabot naman sa P48 Billion hanggang noong September 2020 ang net income loss ng Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific at Air Asia habang 33% naman sa kanilang mga empleyado ang na-retrench.

Pinagsusumite naman ng binuong TWG ng komite ang CAAP, CAB, Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) at iba pang airport operators ng breakdown ng fees and charges na kanilang nakokolekta mula sa domestic air carriers.

Dito ay matutukoy ng TWG kung hanggang sa magkano ang relief na maaaring ibigay sa mga airline carriers.
