Pangulong Duterte, hindi isinasara ang pintuan para hindi tumakbong VP sa 2022 polls
Hindi pa tuluyang isinasara ang pintuan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte para hindi tumakbong bise presidente ng bansa sa 2022 elections.
Ayon kay Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque, malinaw naman ang mga pahayag ni Pangulong Duterte.
Ayon kay Roque, ayaw ni Pangulong Duterte na tumakbong bise presidente pero hindi naman niya sinasabing hindi.
“Well, the President’s words are clear. I don’t have to construe or interpret. He is resisting – that is the word used ‘no. So ayaw po niya pero hindi pa naman niya sinasabing hindi,” pahayag ni Roque.
Nakasaad din naman aniya sa Omnibus Election Code na maaring magsagawa ng substitution ng isang kandidato hanggang sa buwan ng Disyembre.
Matatandaang naging last minute ang pagkandidato ni Pangulong Duterte sa pagka-pangulo ng bansa matapos maging substitute ni DILG Undersecretary Martin Diño na kumandidatong pangulo ng bansa sa ilalim ng partido PDP-Laban.
