Nasamsam ng Bureau of Customs Port of NAIA ang 2,520 reams ng sigarilyo na tinatayang nagkakahalaga ng P4 milyon.

Unang idineklara ang shipment bilang “Paper Hand Towel” bound for Australia.

Naglabas ng Warrant of Seizure and Detention (WSD) laban sa shipment dahil sa posibleng paglabag sa Section 1400 (Misdeclaration) at Section 1113 (Property Subject to Seizure and Forfeiture) na may kinalaman sa Section 117 (Regulated Importation and Exportation) ng Customs Modernization and Tariff Act, CMC No. 167-2020, Memorandum Circular No. 003 series of 2019 ng National Tobacco Administration at RMO 38-2003 ng Bureau of Internal Revenue.
