DepEd patuloy ang pagtatayo ng mga paaralan, pagbibigay ng suporta sa mga mag-aaral sa Marawi

Patuloy ang Department of Education (DepEd) sa pagtatayo ng mga paaaralan at pagbibigay ng suporta sa mga mag-aaral at mga guro sa Marawi City.

Sa ilalim ng Comprehensive Rehabilitation Recovery Plan ng DepEd at bilang miyembro ng Task Force Bangon Marawi, tinututukan at pinangangasiwaan ng kagawaran ang konstruksyon ng mga paaralan na kayang magsilbi sa mahigit 9,000 mag-aaral sa mga pinakaapektadong lugar.

Nagpasalamat naman si Education Secretary Leonor Briones sa stakeholders na tumutulong sa rehabilitation efforts sa Marawi.

“These activities I believe, have helped speed up the recovery of the people of Marawi from the trauma. The DepEd family helped out in big and small ways,” pahayag ng kalihim.

Ayon naman kay DepEd Undersecretary for Administration Alain Del Pascua, ang karanasan sa Marawi ang nag-udyok sa kagawaran para bumuo ng salient policies sa pagkahinto ng edukasyon dulot ng mga kalamidad o krisis.

Nagbigay-daan aniya ito sa pagbuo ng Public School of the Future (PSOF) Framework at pagsulong ng DepEd Commons at DepEd TV.

“DepEd’s Marawi response and its efforts in the development and construction of schools in the different affected sites and rehabilitation areas are a testament of the Department’s commitment to ensure the continuity of education even in times of conflict and beyond,” saad ni Pascua.

Samantala, nakatutok naman ang DepEd Disaster and Risk Reduction Management Service (DRRMS) sa pagbibigay ng libu-libong response kits sa mga guro at mag-aaral, kabilang ang hygiene kits.

Mayroon ding Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Services (MHPSS) at school feeding programs sa iba’t ibang temporary learning spaces.
