P2-B halaga ng mga pekeng kagamitan, nasabat sa Parañaque City
Nasamsam ng Bureau of Customs ang ilang pekeng kagamitan sa Baclaran, Parañaque City araw ng Huwebes, June 3.
Nakuha ang mga pekeng kagamitan sa operasyon ng Intelligence Group’s Intellectual Property Rights Division (IPRD) – Customs Intelligence at Investigation Service (CIIS) sa ilalim ng Intelligence Group at Port of Manila District Office (POM-DO)
Armado ng Letter of Authority (LOA) at Mission Order (MO) na pirmado ni Commissioner Rey Leonardo Guerrero, nag-inspeksyon ang IPRD at POM-DO personnel sa storage facilities.
Nadiskubre rito ang ilang produkto na may tatak na Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Onitsuka Tiger, Vans, Adidas, Nike, JBL, Sony, at Jordan.
Maliban dito, nasabat din ang mga personal care products tulad ng Cetaphil, Pantene, Head & Shoulders, Vaseline, Jergens, Dove, Nivea, Glutamax, Kojic, Joe Malone, Bulgari, D&G, Channel, Victoria’s Secret, Hugo Boss, at Clinique.
Kinuha ng mga awtoridad ang naturang imported items dahil sa posibleng paglabag sa Section 118 (f) ng Republic Act 10863 o Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (CMTA) at Republic Act 8293 o Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines (IPCP).
Isa ito sa mga pinakamalalaking nasamsam na pekeng kagamitan sa taong 2021.
Giit ng BOC, maaring maging mapanganib sa kalusugan ang paggamit ng mga pekeng pabango, cosmetic at beauty products na mayroong toxic chemicals.
