72 panukala ng Senado ang naging ganap na batas sa 2nd Regular Session – Sen. Zubiri

Ipinagmalaki ni Senate Majority Leader Juan Miguel Zubiri na sa pagsasara ng 2nd Regular Session ng 18th Congress, naging ganap na batas ang 72 naipasang panukula sa Senado.

“I’m proud to say that the Senate’s output for the Second Regular Session has been outstanding, despite the COVID-19 pandemic. “We’ve had seventy-two bills passed into law, with twenty-one more awaiting the President’s approval,” aniya.

Kabilang sa mahahalagang naipasa sa Senado mula Hulyo 27 ng taong 2020 hanggang June 3, 2021 ay ilang panukala na may kinalaman sa pagtugon sa pandemya dala ng COVID-19 at kabilang dito ang Bayanihan 2; Act Expediting the Processing of National and Local Permits, Licenses, and Certifications in Times of National Emergency; ang pag-amyenda sa Social Security Act; ang CREATE Law at ang COVID-19 Vaccination Program Act.

Ang iba pa nilang naipasa na panukala na ganap ng batas ay ang Doktor Para sa Bayan Act, Alternative Learning System Act, Coconut Farmers and Industry Trust Fund Act, Financial Institutions Strategic Transfer Act, Labor Education Act, at ang PNP, BFP, BJMP, and BuCor Height Equality Act.

Bukod pa dito, may 34 na panukala ang naaprubahan na sa 3rd and final reading at ito ang Separate Facility for Heinous Crimes Inmates Act, Inclusive Education Act, Safe Pathways Network Act, Electric Vehicles Act, at ang Special Protections against Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children Act.

“All these, amid the difficulties of our hybrid sessions and COVID lockdowns,” pagmamalaki pa ni Zubiri.
