Davao City gov’t, hiniling sa IATF na ideklara ang MECQ mula June 5 – 30

Hiniling ng Davao City Government sa IATF-RTF na magdeklara ng Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) sa lugar mula June 5 hanggang 30, 2021.

Ito ay dahil sa dumaraming bilang ng mga pasyente sa mga ospital.

Sa ipinadalang liham kay DILG Undersecretary at IATF-EID Screening and Validation Committee chairman Epimaco Desing III, ipinakita ni Mayor Sara Duterte ang bilang ng kaso ng COVID-19 sa lugar.

“As of May 31, 2021, we have a total of 1,665 active cases currently admitted at the Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) and our Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facilities and Isolation Facilities,” pahayag nito.

Sinabi rin ng alkalde na halos 1,000 kaso ng nakakahawang sakit ang napaulat mula May 23 hanggang 29. Naitala pa ang pinakamataas na COVID-19 case na 198 sa Davao City noong May 29.

Nababahala ang alkalde dahil nasa critical utilization rate na ang hospital beds sa SPMC habang puno na ang Intensive Care Units ng SPMC at dalawa pang pribadong ospital.

Inabisuhan naman ng Davao City government ang mga apektado ng MECQ zero operational capacity na makipag-ugnayan sa Trabaho Dabawenyo employment assistance ng City Mayor’s Office Special Project Office sa Magsaysay Park.
