Flood control structures sa Zamboanga City, natapos na

Nakumpleto na ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) ang konstruksyon ng flood mitigation structures sa bahagi ng Miluao River sa Zamboanga City.

Ayon kay DPWH Secretary Mark Villar, may dalawang phase ang proyekto ng DPWH Zamboanga City District Engineering Office (DEO) at natapos ang civil works nito mula February 2020 hanggang March 2021.

Makatutulong ang P46.2-million flood control project upang maprotektahan ang aabot sa 8,000 residente ng Barangay Patalon, maging ang kanilang mga ari-arian at kabuhayan, tuwing panahon ng tag-ulan.

Binati naman ni Villar ang DPWH Zamboanga City DEO sa pagtatapos ng protective structures bago ang panahon ng tag-ulan, sa kabila ng ilang buwang suspensyon ng trabaho sa naturang proyekto bunsod ng pandemic-related restrictions.
