Iranian Ambassador, pinuri ang COVID-19 response ng Manila LGU
Pinuri ni Iranian Ambassador Alireza Tootoonchian si Manila Mayor Isko Moreno at ang lokal na pamahalaan dahil sa pagsusumikap na matugunan ang pandemya sa COVID-19.
Ginawa ng ambassador ang pahayag matapos mag-courtesy call kay Mayor Isko.
Pinuri rin ng ambassador ang pagtataguyod ni Mayor Isko ng nanotechnology para masiguro na malinis ang tubig sa lungsod.
“In terms of the rules during quarantine, you are very strict and it is very helpful. Many people obey and it is very good. Many people follow the instructions,” pahayag ng ambassador.
“This is the advantage that your city, your country has. Of course, there are people who do not follow rules. But, in general, in Manila and in the Philippines, there are many people following the rules and regulations,” dagdag ng opisyal.
Aminado naman si Mayor Isko na malaking hamon na mapanatiling maganda ang serbisyo ng lokal na pamahalaan lalo’t isa ang Maynilad sa may pinakamalaking populasyon.
Target ng Iran na mapaigting pa ang kooperasyon sa Maynila gaya sa halal industry at agrikultura pati na ang nanotechnology sa water purification at wastewater treatment.
Ayon kay Mayor Isko, napapanahon ang alok ng Iran lalo’t nagpapatuloy ang konstruksyon sa Bagong Ospital ng Maynila at Bagong Manila Zoo.
