Sen. Poe, pinamamadali ang vaccination rollout para marami ang magkatrabaho
Naalarma si Senator Grace Poe sa ulat ng National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) na ang Pilipinas ang may pinakamataas na jobless rate sa Asya.
Kayat hinihikayat nito ang gobyerno na madaliin na ang pagpapabakuna sa mas maraming Filipino para marami na ang maaring magbalik sa trabaho.
“Jobs are best cure for poverty, just as jabs are our relief to the pandemic. In both situations, the urgency of the action is critical. We must take the fast action that will allow us to not just get through COVID-19, but more crucially, gain ground that will pave the way for our sustainable growth in the coming years,” sabi nito.
Banggit nito, bagamat bumaba na sa 7.1 porsyento ang jobless rate sa bansa noong Marso, ito pa rin ang pinakamataas sa mga bansa sa Asya.
Inamin na rin ng NEDA na malaking hamon na maibalik ang pre-pandemic unemployment rate na 5.3 porsyento noong January 2020.
Hiniling na rin ni Poe ang mga kinauukulang ahensiya na bilisan ang paggasta ng kanilang pondo para makatulong na rin sa paglikha ng mga trabaho at sa pagsigla muli ng ekonomiya.
