Sen. Migz Zubiri nagpasaklolo na sa IATF sa sumisirit na kaso ng COVID 19 sa Northern Mindanao
Umapela na si Senate Majority Leader Juan Miguel “Migz” Zubiri sa Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) na umaksyon para makontrol ang pagdami ng bilang ng COVID-19 cases sa Northern Mindanao.
Naalarma na si Zubiri dahil 300 porsiyento ang pagtaas ng bilang ng kaso sa Lanao de Norte dalawang linggo ang nakalipas at aniya sa Cagayan de Oro City naman mula sa higit 100 kaso noong Marso ay lumubo ito sa 962 nitong nakalipas na mga araw.
Binanggit pa niya na sa Bukidnon ay nahihirapan na ang medical frontliners sa pagdami ng nagtataglay ng nakakamatay na sakit.
“Our hospitals are already filling up. I know that Bukidnon Provincial Medical Hospital (BPMH) is full, along with some of our private hospitals. And Northern Mindanao Medical Center has already raised its status to Code Red, with 50 percent of their operating capacity taken up by COVID cases,” sabi ng tubong Bukidnon na senador.
Suhestiyon niya, maaring makatulong ang pagbabago sa quarantine classifications, gayundin ang localized lockdowns sa mga lugar na grabe ang pagtaas sa bilang.
“We might also need to reinstitute the negative COVID-19 test requirement for inbound travelers. I hope the IATF can assess the situation and enforce the necessary measures as quickly as possible. We must act now before it gets out of hand,” sabi pa ng senador.
