P21B dividends nai-remit ng CAAP sa national treasury mula 2016 hanggang 2020

Mahigit sa P21B dividends ang nai-remit ng Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) sa National Treasury simula 2016 hanggang 2020.

Ayon sa CAAP, dalawampung beses na mas malaki ito kumpara sa P1.3B remittance ng ahensya mula 2008 hanggang 2016.

Simula taong 2016 sabi ng CAAP, sa atas sa kanila ni Department of Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade ay palagi silang nakapagre-remit ng bilyong pisong halaga kada taon.

Sa P21B dividends, P5.4 billion ay noong 2017, P6.2 billion noong 2018, P3.5 billion noong 2019, at P6 billion ay noong nakalipas na taong 2020.

Mas malaki ng hindi hamak ito ayon sa CAAP kumpara noong walong taong nakalipas bago maupo sa puwesto si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.

Ipinagmalaki rin ng CAAP na sa kabila ng COVID-19 pandemic at lubhang apektado ang aviation industry ay nakapagremit pa rin ito ng P6B sa pamahalaan.

“Since 2016, CAAP demonstrated how sound and judicious fiscal management should be done in the interest of the public. Now, whoever will take over the agency when we step down in 2022, I am sure that the achievements reached by CAAP, under the leadership of Director General Jim Sydiongco, will be the standard. CAAP has set the bar high,” saad ni Tugade.
