Dalawang bagong istasyon ng LRT-2, bubuksan na sa Hunyo

Nagsagawa ng inspeksyon ang Department of Transportation (DOTr) at Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) sa dalawang bagong istasyon ng LRT-2 East Extension project, araw ng Huwebes.

Pinangunahan ang inspeksyon nina DOTr Secretary Arthur Tugade at LRTA – LRT2 Administrator General Reynaldo Berroya.

Sakay ng LRT-2 train, sinimulan ng mga opisyal ang inspeksyon mula sa Santolan patungo sa Marikina at Antipolo stations.

Ayon kay Tugade, bubuksan na ang dalawang bagong istasyon sa June 22, 2021.

“June 22 tatakbo na ang tren dito sa Antipolo at Marikina, dugtong sa LRT-2 Extension. Matagal na ‘hong inaantay yan ng ating mga kababayan. Ngayon nakita ko na matutuloy na at magiging operational ang ating tren,” pahayag ng kalihim.

Aniya, “Oras na maging operational ang proyektong ito, ang dating travel time mula Manila hanggang Antipolo ay magiging 40 minutes na lamang, kumpara sa dating tatlong (3) oras na biyahe sakay ang bus o jeepney.”

Inaasahang aabot sa 80,000 pasahero ang kayang maserbisyuhan nito kada araw para sa kabuuang operasyon sa LRT-2.

Bahagi ang LRT-2 East Extension project “BUILD, BUILD, BUILD” infrastructure program ng Duterte administration.
