Panukalang pagsama sa vaccination priority list ng mga estudyante at magsisilbi sa 2022 elections, pag-aaralan pa ng DOH
Pag-aaralan pa ng Department of Health (DOH) ang panukala ng Commission on Higher Education (CHED) at Commission on Elections (Comelec) na isama sa priority list ng mga babakunahan kontra COVID-19 ang mga estudyante at ang mga magsisilbi sa eleksyon sa 2022.
Ayon kay Health Undersecretary at National Vaccination Operations Center Chairperson Myrna Cabotaje, makikipag-ugnayan pa ang kanilang hanay sa Inter-Agency task Force.
Kailangan kasi aniyang ikonsidera ang takbo ng suplay ng bakuna sa bansa.
“We will look into that considering the flow of the vaccine na we are expecting a more steady and increased amount of supply. Pag-aaralan po iyan ng ating mga different committees and then isasaad natin, we will bring it up to the concern of the IATF,” pahayag ni Cabotaje.
Sa ngayon kasi aniya, tanging ang Pfizer ang maaring gamitin na bakuna sa mga nag-eedad ng 18-anyos pababa.
Nakuha ang bakuna na gawa ng Pfizer bilang donasyon ng COVAX Facility.
Ayon kay Cabotaje, ang prayoridad ng COVAX ay gamitin ang Pfizer sa mga health worker, senior citizen at may mga comorbidities.
“Ang mayroon lang po na below 18 years old ay ang Pfizer, so, all the vaccines are 18 years old and above. Pero ang Pfizer na bakuna ngayon is donated by COVAX and ang priority ng COVAX sana po ay A1, A2, A3, at saka later on A5, iyong poor populations. So, we will look at the other vaccines that can be given those below 18 years old,” pahayag ni Cabotaje.
