Pumanaw na ang theologian at author na si Monsignor Sabino Vengco Jr. sa edad na 79.

Ayon sa ulat ng Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) website, pumanaw si Monsignor Vengco habang naka-confine sa Cardinal Santos Medical Center.

Hindi naman tinutukoy ng CBCP ang sanhi ng pagkamatay ni Monsignor Vengco.

Naging kilala si Monsignor Vengco sa pagsusulong ng “Kadiwa ng Pagkapari Foundation.”

Nakaratay ang mga labi ni Monsignor Vengco sa Antipolo Cathedral.

Pangungunahan ni Antipolo Bishop Francis de Leon ang misa sa Antipolo Cathedral sa Mayo 18 ng 8:00 ng umaga.
