Duterte, inilahad na nagbabala si Xi na magkakaroon ng gulo kapag naghukay ng langis ang Pilipinas sa WPS

“If you do that, there will be trouble.’

Ito ang inilahad ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na nagbigay ng babala ni Chinese President Xi Jinping ukol sa paghuhukay ng langis sa West Philippine Sea.

Sa public addres, Lunes ng gabi (May 17), inalala ni Duterte ang kaniyang pagbisita sa China sa mga unang araw ng kaniyang termino bilang Pangulo kasama ang ilang miyembro ng Gabinete.

Sinabi aniya niya kay Xi ang balak niyang pagpunta sa West Philippine Sea para maghukay ng langis.

“And pointedly, I said to President Xi Jinping in front of everybody.. sabi ko.. there was a long discussion but I said, ‘Mr. President I know that we have conflicting claims but you know, I have plans of going to West Philippine Sea to dig my oil,'” pahayag ng Pangulo.

“Tapos, Sir, ang sagot ni President Xi Jinping, almost in whisper, parang ganito sir magkaharap, sabi nya in front of the witnesses that I brought around just to make sure I will be correct all the time, being prudent about it,” saad ng Punong Ehekutibo.

Dagdag nito, “Sabi niya in whisper, ‘You know, Mr. President, do not do that. You will just sour up a new beginning here, new friendship found.”

Inimbitahan ng Pangulo sa kaniyang public address si dating Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile, Lunes ng gabi, upang matalakay ang usapin sa West Philippine Sea.
