Atake sa puso ang dahilan ng pagkamatay kaninang tanghali ni dating Dinagat Islands Representative Ruben Ecleo Jr., ayon sa Bureau of Corrections (BuCor).
Sinabi pa ni Deputy Dir. Gabby Chaclag, ang tagapagsalita ng kawanihan, may iba pang kondisyon ang convicted cult leader tulad ng obstructive jaundice, chronic kidney disease at obstructive uropathy.
Ibinahagi pa nito na tinamaan din ng COVIOD 19 si Ecleo Jr., at isang linggo pa lamang ang lumilipas nang makarekober ito.
Noong nakaraang buwan, nanatili ng tatlong araw sa Dr. Sabili General Hospital dahil sa sakit sa atay si Ecleo Jr. na kinikilalang supreme leader ng sinasabing kultong Philippine Benevolent Missionaries Asso. (PBMA).
Si Ecleo ang ikalawang high profile prisoner na namatay sa loob lang ng tatlong araw matapos sumakabilang buhay noong nakaraang Martes, Mayo 11, ang convicted drug queen na si Yu Yuk Lai sa East Avenue Medical Center dahil din sa atake sa puso bunsod ng mga komplikasyon ng COVID 19.
