Facebook pages nina Sen. Leila de Lima at ilang opposition members nag-‘shut down’

Hiniling ni Senator Leila de Lima sa Facebook na imbestigahan ang pagbagsak ng kanyang official page, gayundin ng ilang miyembro ng oposisyon.

Ayon kay de Lima mula alas-12 ng tanghali hanggang ala-1:30 ng hapon kanina ay hindi ma-access sa desktop at laptop ang kanyang official Facebook page.

Sa inilabas niyang pahayag, sinabi de Lima na umaasa ito na ang pangyayari ay hindi organisadong pag-atake.

“We should not let this pass! We urge Facebook to monitor and investigate this incident, and to make the necessary actions to ensure that this will not happen again,” sabi ng senadora.

Diin ni de Lima napakahalaga ng social media sa mapaghamon na panahon ngayon para sa pagpapakalat ng makatotohanan na mga impormasyon.

“We have witnessed how the Duterte regime and those with sinister motives and selfish interests weaponize paid trolls to curtail truthful reporting, free speech and critical thinking, and instead propagate disinformation, misinformation, negativism and hate speech,”dagdag pa nito.
