Nakapasok na sa Pilipinas ang variant ng COVID-19 na galing sa India.
Ayon kay Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire, na-detect sa dalawang indibidwal ang B.1.617 variant dito sa bansa.
Una rito, sinabi ng DOH na limang biyahero mula sa India na nakapasok sa Pilipinas ang nag-positibo sa COVID-19
Matatandaang umaabot sa 4,000 katao ang naitatalang namamatay sa India kada araw dahil sa COVID-19.
